With 4 guest rooms and 1 house for rent our resort is intimate, low-impact, and ideal for a medium sized group. It is the perfect spot for nature lovers who want to experience unspoiled nature and tranquility while enjoying all the amenities of fine lodging and dining. Our commitment is to provide our guests with the vacation they desire. For adventure seekers, opportunities abound in the dry tropical rain forest and on the beach. For people seeking a tranquil setting to decompress, we offer you an oasis where the only sounds you will hear are the grousing of howler monkeys and a symphony of birds. Star Mountain is tucked in the hills above Mal Pais next to the Cabo Blanco National Park. Our vast property forms a continuous stretch of forest with Costa Rica's oldest nature reserve. Star Mountain is a mosaic of jungle, rolling hills, mountains, and streams with hiking trails throughout and plateau views of the light sandy beaches of Mal Pais and Santa Teresa. Famous Mal Pais Beach is only one mile away downhill and many other Costa Rica's finest surf breaks are within minutes. Treat yourself to this luxurious ecological paradise in Costa Rica - where the jungle meets the ocean.
Our guest rooms are arrayed hillside and are fronted by a covered porch. The rooms overlook the garden and the pool area and have views into the green hills of the Cabo Blanco valley. The rooms are spacious and warmly decorated, featuring private bathrooms with hot water shower, a mini fridge, mosquito netting and ceiling fans. Two of the rooms have a queen size bed, the other two have a queen size bed and a single bed. Families or groups of friends can opt for our casita (small house) which accommodates 4 - 7 people. The house has a private porch and is a few steps from the pool. It features 1 queen bed and 3 single beds. The casita has a hot water shower, a mini fridge and ceiling fans. Star Mountain, its entire property and facilities, may be rented on an exclusive basis by a family or group. Accommodation is for up to 16 adults, comprised of 2 double rooms, 2 triple rooms, and the house with one queen size bed and three single beds (more beds can be added if necessary). Maid service included. Chef service can be arranged. Breakfast is made of homemade bread, jams, fresh fruit, juices, cereals, yogurt and eggs. We grow most of the fruits and vegetables on our property and select only the finest products from local merchants and the organic market. We do not serve lunch or dinner. Guests at our Eco-Lodge have plenty of comfortable places for sitting together or relaxing. Our living salon, plushly furnished with sofas, chairs and tables is perfect for reading and writing. Have some binoculars close by to check out that bird or monkey which just took a seat in the tree next to you. Come and enjoy a true Costa Rica Eco-lodge.
